Hi, Lena! Tell us a little bit about Ihse
IHSE is a manufacturer and developer of KVM technology. It sounds a little bit complicated, but it’s not—we’re selling keyboard, video, and mouse technology, which allows you to create a distance between your workplace and the computer. So you can outsource it to the server room.
And what the benefit is for you? You have a quiet environment. You have the computer safely stored in a separate room. You don’t have the noise. You don’t have the heat. It’s greatly beneficial, especially for your working conditions.
Tell us about your market and customers
We serve various branches and applications. We have customers like airports and air-traffic controllers, and also the broadcast sector – TV studios, for example. They need to have a quiet working environment, but they also need to have data stored safely in the server room. And what we offer them is the extension of the computer signals over up to ten kilometers.
Why did you choose to implement SP CE Partner Portal?
We were looking for a solution with which we could store all data and documents that are relevant for partners, like datasheets, brochures, renderings, etc. And we had some discussions with other portal providers and it was really complicated: they offered us a project over six months, with configuration and everything. And it was definitely too much for our needs, because we needed a simple platform to store all those documents.
With SP_CE, we found the easy, perfect solution for that – because of the clear structure, how easy it is to set us and how modern it is for our partners.

Who in your organization benefits internally from using SP CE?
I would say this project is marketing -and sales driven. On the one hand we have lots of marketing material on the platform – because some things we don’t want to publish on the public website. And then we have the sales part: to provide sales datasheets, sales documents, and also to interact with the partners themselves on the platform.
The reporting (in SP_CE) is quite nice and interesting, because we can see which partner has clicked, for example, on the datasheet. Sometimes, you know, a partner will call and say, “we didn’t know, we didn’t receive the information.” And then we go into SP_CE and see the reporting and can say, “hey, everything is on the portal—you didn’t click on that”. So now we actually know what they did and what kind of actions they took on the portal.
And it’s also quite good that we see what partners are more active, which projects need a little push. Which is really interesting for our sales team.
How do you think SP CE can improve to support you even better?
That’s a good question, because most of the things that I require are already in the system or in the tube. So for now I’m perfectly happy. And if we have something, I know we can talk to you. And most of the time you make it possible.
What’s your experience working with the SP CE team?
Working with SP_CE was easy. We had several discussions, meetings in person and via email. And now, as we also wanted to roll out the portal for the US and for Asia—you supported us perfectly fine. I’m more than happy. And for every single question, the feedback from you has been perfect. And I think most of the time you replied in less than a day. So also really fast!
