Connect SP_CE and OneDrive to skip a step in the content management process. With the OneDrive integration new or modified files will be available to add in all spaces instantly. No need to upload resources to SP_CE global resources first. Replacing a file with a new version can also be handled directly in OneDrive and is automatically applied to all spaces where the file is used.
Add files from ONEDrive TO a space or template
- Open the space or template that you want to add the files to and select “Resources” in the left menu
- Click “Add” -> select “Add Folder”
- Click “Add from global resources” -> select the “OneDrive” tab
- Select the folder you want to add and click the “Add” button in the bottom of the popup
- The files will be added to the space (a OneDrive icon will show next to the file name to indicate it’s origin)
If the files were added to a template, you will get the option to publish to all or selected spaces that are created from that specific template.
To delete a file or a folder, click the three dots menu in the list. Select “Delete” and the folder or file will be removed from the resource panel in the space but not form global resources or OneDrive.
Manage folders and files in ONEDrive
- Files and folders that are synchronized from OneDrive to SP_CE are managed in OneDrive.
- To update a file, make the changes and save it with the same title in OneDrive. All changes will be visible in SP_CE global resources.
- To remove a file completely, delete it from the OneDrive.
- When a file is deleted that is being used in a space, a placeholder file is displayed and the host notified
- When a file is updated to a new version and is used in a space, it is automatically updated to the new version and both hosts and participants are notified.
