Hi, Nathalie! Tell us a little bit about Silentia

In 1989, two brothers decided to start a company and thought about what to actually do. They came up with a roadside barrier, but then their father’s wife, who was a nurse, came home from the hospital one day and said: “there has to be something better than curtains”. The brothers started thinking about this and ended up inventing the privacy screen.

37 years later, these screens are all we do, all day long, every day. We operate in more than 50 countries – through our own subsidiaries in the US, Finland and Norway, and through partners across the rest of the world. Our customers are hospitals and healthcare facilities, making communication, trust and long-term relationships central to everything we do.

What challenges did you have before SP CE?

We operate in a very slow-moving market. From the first contact with a partner, or hospital, it can take years before an actual order is made, and throughout that time information and communication are important. Partners need to know everything we know as soon as we know it, because they are basically Silentia in other countries.

Before SP_CE, we had a web-based product, but it was solely one-directional. Partners could log in to find pictures and brochures, and that was it. There was no two-way communication, no way to send tailored information to specific partners, and no way to know who was engaging with what. Everything else happened over phone and email – making it a struggle to get the right information to the right partner.

Why did you chose sp ce?

When we evaluated SP_CE, what stood out immediately was the ability to reach partners in a much more targeted way. I could plan who would receive what information, which is super important, and really make the communication individual. It sounded perfect.

How have you structured your sp ce Portal?

For each partner, we have two spaces. One is open to everyone – a shared hub with marketing material, product pictures, brochures, videos and technical documentation – while the second is private. This one is locked and used for sensitive content: pricing, specific documents and information that isn’t for general distribution.

Have you found other uses for SP CE?

We’ve also built a kind of blog in SP_CE. Rather than sending newsletters, we put updates directly on the platform. This means that partners can always find the latest information without waiting for an email.

On top of that, our partners have now started to upload their own case stories and installation photos directly to SP_CE, and the next step is making it possible to share that content across the entire partner network.

I think that SP_CE and the people behind it are super reliable and service minded. If there’s an issue, I really feel that I get the support I need, and I get it very fast.
