TL;DR

Impact.com manages partners who drive traffic and earn commissions: affiliates, creators, publishers, and referring customers. It operates at enormous scale, with $100B+ in partnership commerce processed and best-in-class attribution, fraud protection, and global payouts.

SP_CE manages partners who sell and service your product: distributors, resellers, dealers, and installers. They don’t need a payout engine. They need product knowledge, the right documents, and instant answers when customers are standing in front of them. That’s what PAM, our autonomous AI channel manager, delivers.

If your partners earn commissions on transactions, choose impact.com. If they earn margins by reselling and installing products, choose SP_CE. Many companies need both.

feature comparison

AI – the headline difference

  • impact.com’s AI is discovery-oriented: finding the right creators and affiliates, optimizing performance, and an autonomous Recruitment Agent in beta. ask impact answers questions about your program data inside the platform.

  • PAM answers questions for your partners, about your products, in their language, from content you approved, with the source attached. She takes support tickets and runs sales training. She is reachable from web, phone, WhatsApp and through our MCP server by any application or AI agent.

Bottom line: impact.com’s AI finds you partners. PAM makes the partners you already have better.

AI – the headline difference
SP_CE on Partner experience

Partner experience

  • impact.com Partners: Publishers, creators, and referring customers whose job is to drive qualified traffic and earn commissions. They need tracking links, creative assets, and payout statements, not an LMS, certification, or support ticketing, because they don’t directly handle the product.

  • SP_CE Partners: Distributors, dealers, and installers who sell, install, and service products directly for customers. They need versioned content by market and tier, structured learning and certification, support ticketing, and AI roleplays with PAM to practice handling customer objections in their own language, anytime.

Bottom line: impact.com does not try to make a partner competent, because its partners do not need to be. Every other difference below follows from this one.

Time to launch
  • impact.com has a self-serve entry point, so a small affiliate program can be running quickly. Enterprise programs involve onboarding, tracking implementation and a data migration.

  • SP_CE is out of the box. A channel marketing manager can have a partner-ready space live the same week, using Smart Folders, Space Designer and Global Resources.

Bottom line: both are fast at the small end. Neither speed figure means much, because you are not choosing between them on this.

SP_CE Comparison on Pricing
Pricing
  • impact.com‘s pricing is not published. Reported figures run from around $30 a month self-serve to $2,500+ a month at enterprise, but the subscription is only part of it. There is a 2.5% transaction fee, setup and onboarding fees, and incremental growth fees deducted from the funding account ahead of partner payouts. The platform takes a share of the revenue it helps create, which is reasonable for a performance channel and awkward for a product channel.

  • SP_CE is a flat subscription. We do not take a percentage of anything you sell, there is no transaction fee, and you can trial the product free for 30 days.

Bottom line: transaction-fee pricing makes sense when the platform drives the transaction. It makes no sense when your distributor was going to sell the unit anyway.

Integrations
  • impact.com integrates with the systems a performance channel runs on: e-commerce and billing platforms, ad and analytics tools, and its own payment rails with automated electronic invoicing across currencies.

  • SP_CE integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics, Lime CRM, monday.com and NetSuite. Partner content stays where it already lives through Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint, with calendars and meetings through Google and Microsoft Teams. Our MCP server lets any application or AI agent query SP_CE and PAM.

Bottom line: impact.com plugs into the money. We plug into the CRM, the ERP and the document library, because that is where a product channel’s truth lives.

SP_CE Comparison on Integration
SP_CE Comparison on Compliance and regulated industries
Compliance and regulated industries
  • Impartner has a cyber-security vertical landing page and a strong logo wall in regulated industries. What’s harder to find is a published architecture for how partner content is versioned, scoped or governed.

  • SP_CE versions documents and scopes them by market and tier. If a partner in Germany should not see the US-only version of a medical device instruction for use, the structure enforces it without a custom workflow, and PAM will not quote from it.

Bottom line: For medtech, life sciences and fintech programs, the compliance architecture is worth a careful look.

Support and service model
  • impact.com offers managed services for running affiliate and creator programs, which is common at the enterprise end of performance marketing. What it does not offer is anywhere for your partners to raise a support issue.

  • SP_CE includes onboarding, plus customer success and a partner success team. Partner support ticketing is in the product, next to an AI that resolves most questions before a ticket exists.

Bottom line: if your partners phone your team with product questions, that traffic has to go somewhere.

Which should you pick?

Pick SP CE if:

  • Your partners resell, install or service a physical or technical product

  • Partner competence is what caps your channel revenue

  • Your partners work in several languages and need support outside your office hours

  • You sell regulated products where document versions and market scoping matter

  • You need partner training, content, deal registration and support in one place

  • You want partners supported 24/7 without adding headcount

  • You would rather pay a flat subscription than a percentage of your own sales

Pick Impact.com if:

  • Your partners are affiliates, publishers, creators or referring customers

  • Partners are paid a percentage of a transaction they influenced

  • You need global multi-currency payouts and automated invoicing

  • Attribution accuracy and fraud protection are business-critical

  • You want to discover and recruit partners from a large existing network

  • Your program is marketing-led rather than channel-sales-led

FAQ – Impact.com

Not really, and we would rather be clear than win a click. impact.com runs affiliate, creator and referral programs. SP_CE runs distributor, dealer and reseller enablement. If you are choosing between them, one of the two is probably solving the wrong problem for you.

It has no partner LMS, no certification, no content versioning, no support ticketing and no classic deal registration. Those are the functions a dealer network runs on.

Ask impact answers questions about your program data inside the platform. PAM answers your partners' questions about your products, in their language, from approved content, with the source shown.

Yes, and for some businesses that is the right answer. Different partner types, different platforms.
