Hi, Damiano! Can you tell us a little bit about Panaro?
Panaro was born in 1962 and started out making plastic boxes and cases for fishing. Throughout the years we added more product lines and now we can mold boxes and cases for any market. We have a wide range of industries that we work with, from fishing to hardware as well as the military, medical -and automotive industry.
How many products do you have in your portfolio?
I think we now have 2-300 standard products in stock. And while it’s not a rule, we normally launch 4-5 new products per year.
Can you describe your journey from Dropbox to FileCamp DAM to SP CE?
Some years ago we started with Dropbox and shared folders with customers. Then, we understood that our customers were in need of a more powerful tool and moved to FileCamp. It was more evolved than Dropbox and allowed us to work with access permissions. The design was really plain, though, and we started to look for an even more advanced tool.
We chose SP_CE for two reasons: the design capabilities that were really good and the opportunity to easily create landing pages. And the real game changer was the integration with OneDrive. At that time we were moving all our material from a physical server to OneDrive, so the opportunity to let SP_CE and OneDrive interact was a key factor in our decision.
Now, we have a unique OneDrive file folder with all our content, and this folder is connected to SP_CE. Everything we add to that folder is instantly available in SP_CE, which is really helpful.
How do you use SP CE?
We have one main space that we call our media portal. This is open for all and meant for our standard customers, people who are looking for HD images, data sheets etc. We also have spaces with specific content meant for different distributors as well as dedicated spaces for our ambassadors.
Can you tell us a little bit about the design capabilities of SP CE? Why were they so important?
Our goal is to be the coolest company possible. And I think that all the tools you use, the tools you make available to your customers, are statements of the kind of company you are. So if we give them a cool space we are also showing that we’re a cool brand. We’re a company that don’t just care about what information we share but the way weshare it. I can’t say that our cases are the coolest cases in the world unless I’m also sharing information in the simplest and coolest way possible. I can’t even imagine having Prada, a customer of ours in the luxury market, ask for more information and I just send them a Dropbox link. I mean, it would be 100 % unprofessional.
Would you recommend SP CE to other companies?
I recently did. I recommended SP_CE to one of my suppliers. They called me a couple of weeks ago and asked how my experience with SP_CE was, if I was happy with it. I said yes.
